Miracle of God

One evening in our opd, parents from Dhrangadhra came to meet us with very tense faces and emotions, regarding the survival of their small baby which was yet to born. We assured that we will be there at the time of birth and we will do the best from our side.

So , we went to attend LSCS (Indication : Severe oligohydraminos with reduced diastolic flow) of this tiny baby that was about 27 weeks, (Antenatal Ultrasound was suggestive of 1 kg fetal weight but at birth she weighed just 880 gms).

We went to Dhrangadhra fully equipped . As pt was delivered , she had no spontaneous respiration and Heart rate even less than 40 and so she was resuscitated and intubated. Given surfactant in the labour room itself. And pt was transported to SMIT HOSPITAL WITH VENTILATOR with Team of Pediatrician on 17/6/22.

Pt was ventilated for 5 days and then weaned to CPAP and with many ups and downs, at last after 58 days, we were able to discharge JENSI at 1.52 kgs ( 36 wks ) With
Normal USG,
NO ROP CHANGES ,
NORMAL OAE HEARING SCREEN

Which was a BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT FOR US.

It is the trust of the parents and god's grace that we were able to discharge this patient with smiling faces.

A big salute to parents of little one who have kept constant faith in us and our management & to our nursing staff who took care of baby like anything.

Thanks to all the colleagues and seniors for the support.
